Imperial Knight House Mortan is a loyalist Questor Imperialis house from the perpetually dark Knight World of Kimdaria, also known as the "Black Planet." Forced to survive against monstrous predators in an eternal twilight shrouded by the Black Pall nebula, the house has developed a stern, isolated culture that values brutal close-quarters combat above all else. Preferring chainswords and thunderstrike gauntlets over ranged weapons, the black, red, and yellow-armoured knights believe every battle inevitably ends in bloody, personal confrontation. Led by High King Sir Gerrolt from the Knight Warden Pride of Blackcrag, the warriors of House Mortan live by their grim motto: "In war, show no mercy."
Imperial Knight House Mortan – Commission Painted Imperial Knight
This commission painted Imperial Knight House Mortan is a fully customized Imperial Knight Paladin from Warhammer 40,000, finished in a battle-worn red, black, and aged gold scheme with advanced freehand and cinematic weapon effects.
The Knight is equipped with a rapid-fire battle cannon featuring a custom 3D printed muzzle blast effect, a Reaper chainsword, and a top-mounted heavy weapon, all enhanced with painted fire and smoke effects for dynamic impact. Exhaust stacks also feature realistic smoke detailing, reinforcing the sense of motion and battlefield presence.
Extensive custom heraldry and freehand Warhammer work define the armor panels, including a hand-painted stag emblem on the shield, heraldic markings on the leg plates, and scripted banner details. The weathered finish includes paint chipping, heat staining, oil streaks, and shaded metallic trim for a realistic, combat-worn look.
The included pilot miniature is painted in the same House Mortan color scheme, ensuring full visual cohesion between the Knight and its commander.
