Silver Level

This custom painted Seraptek Heavy Construct and accompanying Canoptek Spyder represent a massive undertaking in mechanical scale and technical precision.
As a specialized commission painting project in our Silver level, the goal was to create a cohesive look for these towering war machines, focusing on a regal yet alien aesthetic that sets them apart from standard metallic armies.
The duo serves as the ultimate heavy support for any tabletop force, blending the sheer destructive power of the Seraptek with the utility of the Spyder.
By choosing a custom paint scheme that emphasizes deep purples and radioactive greens, our miniature painting studio has ensured these painted miniatures possess a striking visual identity that commands the battlefield.
A Masterclass in Custom Painted Canoptek Constructs
For this project, we focused on the unique "insectoid" nature of these painted Warhammer models.
The Seraptek, with its long, articulated legs and predatory silhouette, required a finish that highlighted its massive size without feeling overwhelming.
We applied a weathered, cold steel texture to the internal skeleton, using dark oil washes and dry-brushing to simulate an ancient, tireless machine.
This base is contrasted by the vibrant purple armor plates found on both the Seraptek and the Canoptek Spyder.
The purple sections feature smooth volumetric shading, transitioning from a dark indigo in the shadows to a soft magenta on the edges.
This color choice adds a layer of aristocratic mystery to the constructs, making them look like the royal guardians of a forgotten dynasty.
Our miniature painting studio ensured that the same purple tone was used across both models to guarantee perfect army cohesion.
Glowing Green Energy and Singularity Generator Details
The true focal point of these custom painted models is the intense green "glow" effect applied to the weaponry and power cores.
The Seraptek’s Singularity Generators and the Spyder’s internal chambers are filled with a vibrant green-to-yellow energy gradient.
This Object Source Lighting (OSL) effect simulates the build-up of unstable power, making the weapons look ready to fire at a moment's notice.
We extended this glowing green palette to the various sensors, cables, and ventilation ports across both constructs. By using thin glazes of fluorescent green, we achieved a look that suggests a radioactive aura emanating from the machines.
This level of detail is a hallmark of our commission painting service, transforming large plastic surfaces into dynamic, energy-filled components that "pop" under any lighting conditions.
Technical Precision for Large-Scale Mechanical Models

Painting large-scale models like the Seraptek Heavy Construct requires a deep understanding of scale and highlights.
To prevent the model from looking like a toy, we added subtle weathering and metallic chipping to the silver legs and joints.
This gives the impression of a war machine that has traversed countless battlefields, its ancient frame still functioning with lethal precision.
The Canoptek Spyder, though smaller, received the same level of attention. Its segmented body and multi-lens eyes were picked out with high-contrast colors to ensure it maintains its own visual interest alongside its massive counterpart.
The orange metallic cooling ribs on both models provide a necessary warm accent, breaking up the cool purple and silver and adding to the complex, multi-layered look of the custom paint scheme.
