Warpfire Elegance and Sacred Resolve – Castellan Crowe Supreme
2 June 2026This Cities of Sigmar miniature painting project features several iconic units from Warhammer Age of Sigmar, including the Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal, Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk, and the Ironweld Great Cannon with crew.
Painted as part of a professional miniature commission painting project, the models combine detailed metallic armor, rich red cloth elements, and natural battlefield basing to create a cohesive and visually striking force.
The project focuses on characterful heroes and artillery pieces that bring both narrative and battlefield presence to a Cities of Sigmar army.
Painted Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal – Cities of Sigmar Mounted Commander
The Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal serves as a commanding centerpiece for Cities of Sigmar forces. Mounted on a heavily equipped warhorse, the model features layered armor, chainmail details, and a flowing cloak.
The armor was painted using steel metallic tones with subtle shading and highlights to emphasize the sculpted details. Deep red cloth elements create contrast against the metallic armor while reinforcing the overall army color palette.
The mounted character also features detailed equipment such as saddlebags, straps, and decorative elements that help convey the role of a seasoned battlefield commander
Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk – Command Platform Miniature
The Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk is one of the most visually unique models in the Cities of Sigmar range. The officer stands on a raised wooden command platform supported by a massive Ogor Warhulk.
The platform itself is painted with dark reddish wood tones and metallic reinforcements, highlighting the intricate construction of the structure. Decorative panels and sculpted symbols were carefully shaded to enhance depth and realism.
Additional elements such as the lantern and metal framework add visual interest and reinforce the military engineering aesthetic of the Cities of Sigmar.
Ironweld Great Cannon – Cities of Sigmar Artillery
The Ironweld Great Cannon represents the artillery power of the Cities of Sigmar. The cannon is surrounded by protective wooden shield panels reinforced with iron plates and decorated with small skull motifs.
The wooden panels were painted using deep red tones, matching the rest of the army’s visual theme. Metallic parts of the cannon were finished with dark steel colors to create a realistic war machine appearance.
The artillery piece is accompanied by two Freeguild crew members, painted in practical military clothing with leather belts, helmets, and equipment.
Battlefield Basing for Cities of Sigmar Miniatures
All miniatures in the project share a cohesive battlefield-style base featuring rocky terrain, dry soil textures, and scattered grass tufts.
Dead branches and uneven stone elements add a naturalistic feel while ensuring the models visually stand out during gameplay or display. This basing approach ties the entire set of miniatures together as part of the same battlefield environment.
Professional Cities of Sigmar Commission Painting
Cities of Sigmar models offer a fantastic opportunity for detailed miniature painting, combining armor, cloth, wood, and complex engineering elements in a single army.
