Exquisite Painted Thousand Sons Army – Premium Commission Painting for Warhammer 40,000
1 June 2026This project presents a complete set of custom painted miniatures from the board game Nemesis. The painting style focuses on reinforcing the intense sci-fi horror atmosphere that makes the game so distinctive. Careful contrast, controlled highlights, and a unified palette help every model stand out individually while still feeling like part of the same hostile spaceship environment.
Painted Nemesis Intruders
The alien enemies of Nemesis, known as Intruders, were painted to emphasize their unsettling biomechanical appearance. Dark organic colors highlight the sculpted carapace and skeletal structures that run across their bodies. Subtle gloss effects and traces of toxic green slime around the jaws and claws add a disturbing biological touch. These details give the painted Nemesis alien miniatures a predatory presence that fits perfectly with the survival horror theme of the game.
The Alien Queen – Dominant Centerpiece
At the center of the collection stands the imposing Alien Queen, the largest miniature in the Nemesis set. Stronger highlights and deeper shadows were used to emphasize the massive armor plates, powerful limbs, and towering silhouette of this creature. The darker tones of the carapace combined with crisp edge highlights make the model visually striking. As a painted Nemesis Alien Queen miniature, it naturally becomes the focal point whenever the miniatures are placed on the table.
Larvae and Early Alien Forms
The alien life cycle in Nemesis also includes smaller organisms such as larvae and early-stage intruders. These miniatures were painted using lighter, fleshy tones that contrast with the darker adult creatures. Gentle shading and soft highlights help define the small organic shapes while keeping them visible during gameplay. Even though they are tiny compared to the larger models, these painted Nemesis alien larvae miniatures add an important layer to the visual storytelling of the set.
Painted Nemesis Crew Miniatures
The human crew represents the last line of defense against the alien infestation. Each painted Nemesis crew miniature was given its own color variation to reflect different roles aboard the spacecraft. Tactical colors appear on combat-oriented characters, while more technical suits define engineers and specialists. Light weathering and subtle shading suggest the harsh conditions inside the ship and help reinforce the feeling of a desperate survival mission.
The Astronaut Cat Figure
Among the darker elements of the Nemesis universe, the small astronaut cat miniature adds a unique touch of personality. The figure was painted with warm orange fur tones and a clean, light-colored spacesuit that contrasts with the darker palette used across the rest of the set. Despite its small scale, the painted astronaut cat miniature immediately catches the eye and adds a memorable detail to the collection.
Spaceship-Themed Bases
To complete the atmosphere, the bases were designed to resemble worn spaceship flooring. Metallic textures, subtle grime, and dark industrial colors create the impression of an aging spacecraft interior. Small touches of alien slime scattered across the bases hint at the spreading infestation. These details tie all the painted Nemesis miniatures together within a single cohesive environment.
Nemesis Miniature Commission Painting
A fully painted set of Nemesis board game miniatures transforms the entire tabletop experience. The contrast between the terrifying alien intruders, the struggling crew members, and the atmospheric basing creates a cinematic scene every time the game is played. Through careful painting and attention to detail, this custom painted Nemesis miniature set brings the suspense and visual drama of the game to life.
