Radiant Ascendant Majesty – Painted Sanguinius Primarch of the Blood Angels Legion Commission for Warhammer 40,000
2 June 2026This project features two painted Imperial Knight miniatures from Warhammer 40,000: a towering Cerastus Knight Atrapos and a supporting Armiger Warglaive.
Both models were completed as a Warhammer 40K commission painting project by our miniature painting studio. The miniatures share a cohesive custom paint scheme with deep green armor, warm brass metallic trim, detailed mechanical components, and high-contrast scenic bases.
Large Imperial Knight models like these are ideal centerpiece miniatures. The painting process focused on clean armor panels, strong metallic contrast, controlled weathering, and visually striking basing.
Custom Paint Scheme – Imperial Knight Armor
Both the painted Cerastus Knight Atrapos and the painted Armiger Warglaive use a consistent armor scheme built around deep green panels.
Large armor plates were carefully shaded and highlighted to create smooth transitions across the curved surfaces. Subtle tonal variation prevents large areas from appearing flat and enhances the scale of the models.
Structural elements and trim were painted using warm brass metallic tones. Edge highlights and controlled paint wear were applied to exposed areas to reinforce the mechanical character of these custom painted Warhammer knight miniatures.
The combination of dark armor and warm metallics creates a balanced and visually cohesive Imperial Knight paint scheme.
Energy Weapons and Visual Effects
The Cerastus Knight Atrapos miniature features a distinctive energy weapon painted with a bright blue glow effect. The energy transitions from intense light tones in the center to darker blue toward the outer weapon structure.
This glow creates a strong visual focal point and contrasts effectively with the darker armor plates.
The Armiger Warglaive includes a large thermal spear weapon painted with subtle metallic transitions and controlled heat effects, maintaining visual consistency with the larger knight.
These weapon details help emphasize the technological character of the painted Warhammer 40K knight models.
Mechanical Details and Metallic Weathering
Both miniatures include extensive exposed machinery. Pistons, joints, cables, and internal structures were painted using layered metallic techniques.
Steel, iron, and darker metal tones were combined with washes to increase depth and definition between mechanical elements. Selective weathering was applied to structural components to create a realistic battlefield appearance.
This balance between clean armor panels and worn mechanical parts is typical for professionally painted Warhammer 40K Imperial Knight miniatures.

Warhammer 40K Imperial Knight Commission Painting
Painting large models such as the Cerastus Knight Atrapos and Armiger Warglaive requires careful control of large armor surfaces, metallic textures, and visual contrast.
Our miniature painting studio specializes in commission painting for Warhammer miniatures, including Imperial Knights, large centerpiece models, and custom army paint schemes.
Each project focuses on precise execution, cohesive color design, and high-quality finishes suitable for both tabletop play and professional photography.
