Our miniature painting studio recently completed this iconic Avatar of Khaine. While many choose traditional red armor, this custom paint scheme utilizes a deep, dark green with sharp emerald highlights. This choice creates a striking "magma vs. forest" contrast, making the molten core of the model appear even hotter and more volatile against the cool-toned plating.
Masterclass Molten Skin and Fire Effects
The primary focus of this painted Warhammer model is the internal heat effect. We used a multi-stage blending process starting from a dark chocolate brown, moving through fiery oranges, and ending in a bright yellow-white at the hottest points. This technique was applied to the body, the hair, and the scenic fire on the base to ensure a cohesive look of living, breathing flame.
