This hobby box contains two contrasting Citadel plastic kits representing different forces in the Old World. The Empire Knights are elite shock cavalry, featuring ten heavily-armored warriors atop warp-touched steeds, armed with lances or hand weapons and customizable with command components. The Battlemage on Griffon is a magical centrepiece model, pairing a fur-clad wizard with a massive, savage Griffon featuring a 9-inch wingspan and multiple head variants, which can also be built as a Freeguild General. Together, they represent the dichotomy between raw arcane magic and the damned, armored might of Chaos.
Painted Knights of Morr Commission – The Deathwarden Host, Empire of Man Warhammer Fantasy
This custom Empire of Man army reimagines the Knights of Morr as a fully cavalry-focused Deathwarden Host built around a dark, unified visual identity. The force centres on massed Empire Knights in heavy black and obsidian armour, accented with deep crimson shields and lances, and restrained gold heraldry. Custom 3D printed skull-themed helmets reinforce the Mortuary aesthetic and clearly distinguish the army from standard knightly orders.
Demigryph Knights support the core cavalry in the same black, red, and gold scheme, maintaining cohesion while adding elite presence. A Wizard Lord on Imperial Griffon serves as the dramatic centrepiece, integrated into the host through matching armour and colour balance. Additional wizards, where included, are adapted to fit the somber Knights of Morr theme without breaking visual unity.
The project focused on achieving depth within predominantly black armour through layered highlights and controlled contrast, ensuring readability while preserving a dense, obsidian look. The result is a disciplined, visually imposing cavalry army with a strong narrative identity and cohesive presentation across every unit.

This cavalry-focused Empire of Man army, themed as the Knights of Morr (Deathwarden Host), is painted in a grim custom scheme of deep obsidian black armour with pale bone accents, silver trim, and subtle purple-green grave-mist tones. Core Empire Knights feature high-contrast black plate with controlled chipping, crimson cloaks, and custom 3D-printed Morr helmets (skull masks, raven wings, hourglasses) in bone and silver. Demigryph Knights match with obsidian plumage, bone barding, and matching Morr helms on riders. The Wizard Lord on Imperial Griffon blends black-and-bone feathers with purple robes and silver Morr symbols, plus subtle corrosion on talons and beak. Additional wizards carry the scheme with lore-specific accents (jade, amethyst, bright red). All models stand on cracked gravestone bases with raven feathers and mist effects for cohesive, atmospheric finish.
