For this commission painting project, the primary focus was the extensive gold armor worn by both the Emperor and his bearers.
We utilized a multi-layered gold technique, starting with a warm bronze base and building up to bright, polished highlights.
This ensures the armor looks like ancient, well-maintained sigmarite-equivalent plate, reflecting the wealth of the East.
This custom paint scheme is beautifully contrasted by the deep crimson and burgundy tones of the palanquin's wooden structure and the silk drapery. The intricate mesh patterns on the back of the palanquin were carefully shaded to provide depth, while the golden eye symbol the mark of Sauron's favor shines brilliantly atop the structure.
