As a venerable Dreadnought for Warhammer 40,000, the goal for this commission painting project was to move away from the standard baby blue and instead create a weathered, metallic bronze and stone aesthetic that suggests a relic recovered from the deepest vaults of Fenris.

Commission Painting Project: Bjorn the Fell-Handed Custom Colors

For this commission painting project, we focused on a "Gold Level" finish that highlights the immense history carved into Bjorn's sarcophagus.

Instead of the typical Chapter colors, we applied a muted, desaturated bronze and brownish-grey palette to the main armor plates.

This custom paint scheme utilizes subtle stippling and sponge weathering to simulate millennia of combat wear.

The metallic surfaces are further defined by deep oil washes in the recesses and sharp edge highlighting on the uppermost ridges, giving the dreadnought a heavy, mechanical weight.
