WARHAMMER MINIATURE PAINTING: LORD OF CHANGE | DAEMON OF TZEENTCH
1 March 2023Warhammer miniature painting is our series of showing you our painting projects. Many people enjoy the challenge and satisfaction that comes with the hobby of creating such detailed pieces. The latest iteration of this series is the Lumineth Realm-Lords commission, which features some of the most detailed and intricate models ever produced by Games Workshop. It’s a great opportunity for any painter to create something truly unique. Additionally, you can also use this project as an opportunity to hone in on your skills and learn more about how to paint miniatures.
How to paint Lumineth Realm Lords army?
Painting a Lumineth Realm-Lords army may intimidate a lot of painters but it is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. To begin, you will need to assemble your army using the assembly kit provided by GW. As you assemble your models, take time to identify areas that need particular attention when painting. The Lumineth Realm-Lords offer painters a lot of different materials to work with, combining billowy robes with bright metal armor, blowing hair, and gemstones. Painters are presented with a variety of materials to choose from when painting the Lumineth Realm-Lords, mixing flowing garments with lustrous metal armour, tresses fluttering in the breeze, and sparkling gemstones.
Once all of your models are assembled, it’s time to start painting. Start by applying a light color scheme to each model and then add in colorful details with Citadel Colour Paints. We used colours like blue (whole colour palette), gold and darker grey. Make sure to pay special attention to areas such as eyes, weapons (spears, bows, pikes and swords), and armor for maximum effect. Finally, paint the base of each model using colors that contrast with the colors used on the model itself. For a more realistic look, add some grass details on the bases of your models. With patience and practice you can create a beautiful looking Lumineth Realm Lords army!
We painted following models from the Warhammer Age of Sigmar game – all on level: Silver:
- Vanari Auralan Wardens
- Hurakan Spirit of the Wind
- Vanari Bladelords

Lumineth Realm-lords – Final Thoughts
No matter if you are a part of Warhammer Community, a newbie to a hobby, or a 40k only fan – your new Lumineth Realm-Lords army can be a recipe for a genuinely great time playing on the tabletop! They are agile and swift on the battlefield and will certainly be the envy of your enemies. Remember that the models from the kits are unassembled and unpainted, so our and other people’s advice may be beneficial! To further develop your ideas, have a look at the artwork in the Battletome!
