We’re back with our series!  Warhammer miniature painting has become increasingly popular in recent years, and the Chaos Knight Abominant is one of the most requested pieces. This particular model has been a favorite among warhammer fans for its intricate detail and vibrant colors. Recently, we had the pleasure of taking on a commission to paint a Knight Abominant. The process of creating this piece was both challenging and enjoyable as our artists worked to capture the essence of this iconic figure from Warhammer 40K. After two weeks of careful work they were able to complete the painting, which showcased its unique features such as armor, weapons and other small details that make it stand out. The final product was truly something special and we are proud to have taken part in creating such a piece of art.

How to paint Warhammer’s Chaos Knight Abominant?

Painting a Chaos Knight Abominant model is not as difficult as it may seem. The first step is to assemble the knight kit, which includes the various armour pieces and weapons. Once these are all secured in place, you can easily start painting. It is important to consider what kind of colour scheme you want for your Chaos Knight Abominant – do you want to go with a bright and bold look or something darker? If you choose the latter, try for a lighter airbrush over black base coat, then use washes of yellow and green to bring out details and give your Volkite Combustor an eerie glow, next, add the oranges with browns to give the whole model (electroscourge, as well as a swinging balemace included) rusty feel. We used Citadel Paints throughout the process. 

Additionally, if you wish to make your Chaos Knight Abominant more dynamic, try magnetizing parts of the armour or weapons so that they can be moved around during gaming sessions. Finally, when basing your model, make sure that the size is appropriate for the base size chosen – too small or too large may look off-putting. Adding some psychic powers effects would also be cool – we used a lighter purple wash to unleash the corrupt magic energy. Any war games fan would tell you the same – this model is a great choice for your Chaos Knights army! Seen as especially blessed by the Dark Gods, the Knights Abominant are suffused with the power of the warp. This is why they are not only a fantastic painting project but also a huge advantage on the battlefield. Chaos Knights are crushing anything that remains untainted by their fellow soldiers.
